About the play

Jon Fosse is one of the most translated and performed contemporary Norwegian writers.
Critics have described him as one of the most intelligent authors of drama and contemporary literature.

The show “Mother and Child” deals with people who suffer from total isolation, loneliness and communication difficulties.
Fosse’s characters are stuck in their thoughts and their words are monologues that sometimes turn into conversations.
